Internal lighting|

|
1. The forward left lamp for reading
Inclusion and switching off of the lamp for reading: press the button.
The left lamp for reading-7-in an internal rear-view mirror joins or switched off.
2. Plafonds in a back part of salon
Inclusion and switching off of a plafond in a back part of salon: press the button.
3. The forward right lamp for reading
Inclusion and switching off of the lamp for reading: press the button.
The right lamp for reading-8-in an internal rear-view mirror joins or switched off.
4. Switching off of automatic function: press the cross over switch.
Plafonds remain switched off and in case the car opens, one door opens or the electronic key is taken out from the ignition lock.
5. Inclusion of automatic function: cross over switch on average situation.
If at nightfall the electronic key is taken out from the ignition lock, plafonds join and with endurance of time are switched off.
Plafonds join if at nightfall one door opens. When opening one of forward doors the forward plafond joins, when opening one of back doors back plafonds join.
If doors are closed, plafonds are switched off with endurance of time.
If the car opens at nightfall, then plafonds join and switched off with endurance of time.

Time after which plafonds are switched off with endurance of time after taking out of a key from the ignition lock can be determined in the Individual Installation system (Undressed the Multipurpose steering wheel, the multiinformation display). |
At one open door and finding of an electronic key in situation 0 or its taking out, plafonds are switched off approximately in 5 minutes after all electronic equipment of the car is in a starting position.
6. Inclusion of a forward plafond manually:
Press the cross over switch. Until the cross over switch is pressed, forward phone is switched on.
Switching off of a forward plafond:
The cross over switch in situation 4 or 5.
The back lamp for reading

7. Inclusion and switching off of lamps for reading:
Lamps for reading-8-in the left or right plafond in a back part salon-9-join or switched off.
Illumination of elements of salon
For the best orientation in the dark your car is equipped in salon with various devices of lighting.
Lighting at opening/closing of a door:
The electronic key in the lock of ignition is in situation 1 or marker lights are included. Lamps in deepenings for opening/closing of doors burn.
If the electronic key in the lock of ignition turns in situation 0 and the light is turned off, the delay of switching off of lamps makes about 5 minutes.
Illumination of space for legs:
Marker lights are included. The space for legs is lit.
Lighting of the average console:
The electronic key in the lock of ignition is in situation 1. Lighting of the average console is made from an internal rear-view mirror.
Door lamps for an exit from the car
If at nightfall one of doors opens and internal lighting is switched to the automatic mode, the corresponding door lamp for an exit from the car joins.
After closing of a door the door lamp for an exit from the car is automatically switched off.
Blind of back glass

The switch is on the average console.
Turn an electronic key in the lock of ignition in situation 1 or 2.
Press the switch:
1 — Rise
2 — Lowering
The blind of back glass should be lowered or lifted always completely.

|
You watch that process of the movement of a blind of back glass was not interfered by objects (for example, clothes). |
Sun-protection peaks
|
|
|
There is a danger of accident!
In order to avoid dazzle leave covers over mirrors-2-during the movement closed.
For protection against dazzle in front:
Cast away sun-protection peaks down.
For protection against dazzle from side glasses:
Bring a sun-protection peak out of the holder-1-on inside and take aside.
Cosmetic mirror

There is a danger of accident!
In order to avoid dazzle leave covers over mirrors-3-during the movement closed.
1 — the Lit cosmetic mirror in a sun-protection peak
Opening: the sun-protection peak has to be recorded in the holder-2-. Cast away a cover-3-up. Lighting-4-joins.
Move a mirror to the left or to the right, half of a mirror reflect the normal or enlarged image.
Closing: cast away a cover down.

5 — the Lit cosmetic mirror in a back part of salon
Opening: slightly press a cover, the mirror leans back, and lighting joins.
Closing: turn a mirror up to fixing.
|
|
In order to avoid damages, before installation of a seat of the driver or forward passenger from situation for lying in situation for the movement, close the corresponding cosmetic mirror. |
Salon
There is a danger of traumatizing!
In salon it is not allowed to transport heavy or firm objects in a loose state.
Otherwise, at strong braking, sharp change of the direction of the movement or accident passengers can be injured by them.
Safety grids for baggage cannot hold heavy and firm objects.
Ware compartments and consoles armrests
There is a danger of traumatizing!
In the presence of objects in ware compartments the last during the movement have to be closed.

Closing:
Move a cover up to fixing.

Pull out an insert, having taken it through deepening in the handle.

Opening:
Having squeezed buttons-9-, cast away a cover down.
Closing:
Cast away a cover up to fixing.
Ware compartments under the console armrest

In ware compartments under the console armrest there is also an office for coins.

Opening: having pressed the button-10-, lift the console armrest.
Closing: lower the console armrest down and record.

Temperature in a ware compartment can strongly increase that is caused by limited space. Therefore when transporting heatsensitive freight it is necessary to close a ventilating nozzle of the included heating.
Do not close a ventilating nozzle in a runduchka objects.
Use of phone in a back part of salon

For simplification of use of phone in a back part of salon, phone can be moved back.
Having pressed the button-11-(address an illustration at the left), cast away the console armrest before fixing back.
Having pressed the button-12-, completely cast away a console armrest cover.
Armrest of back seats

Extend an armrest-13-above and cast away it on a back seat.
Opening runduchka:
Having pressed the handle-14-up, cast away an armrest up.

The holder for drinks
There is a danger of traumatizing!
During the movement the holder for drinks has to be closed. Use only suitable capacities, in order to avoid burns do not insert hot drinks in the holder.

Press the button-1-, and cast away a little table-2-up in necessary situation before fixing.

Fixing of a little table is possible in 3 provisions. |
Folding of a little table:
Completely lift a little table and turn down to fixing.
There is a danger of traumatizing!
During the movement the folding little table has to be difficult.
Otherwise, at strong braking, sharp change of the direction of the movement or accident passengers can be injured by the objects which are on it or a little table.
Ashtray
Average console
Opening:
Slightly press a cover in the place of marking, the ashtray moves forward.
Taking out of an insert:
There is a danger of accident!
Switch off the engine and press the parking brake in order to avoid spontaneous start-off of the car from the place.

Slightly press a cover behind, the ashtray moves back.

Establish an insert and at the return movement press down.
Lighter

1 The lighter on the average console
There is a danger of traumatizing!
Take the hot lighter only for the handle.
When turning an electronic key in the ignition lock in situation 1 or 2 you watch that children could not burn the hot lighter.

|
2 The lighter on back doors
The electronic key in the lock of ignition is in situation 1 or 2.
Press the lighter: the vyskakivaniye occurs automatically as soon as the spiral is heated.
The plug socket of the lighter can be used for connection of elements of a special complete set.
Safety grid for baggage in space for legs of the forward passenger
There is a danger of traumatizing!
The safety grid for baggage is provided only for transportation of easy freight.
Heavy, and also fragile objects and objects with sharp edges cannot be transported in a safety grid for baggage.
The safety grid for baggage cannot protect freight at accident.

If in a grid for baggage there are objects, the seat of the forward passenger cannot be moved completely forward — the objects which are in a grid can be damaged. |
Safety grid for baggage in a luggage carrier

At the left and on the right in a luggage carrier there are hooks-1-on which the safety grid for baggage is hung.
Hlyastik (arrow) has to be turned into a luggage carrier.
Safety grid for baggage and hooks are calculated on transportation of easy freight at the normal movement. At accident they cannot protect freight. We ask to observe the data on freight weight specified on a hlyastika (shooter).
Refrigerating boxing in a back back

Press the switch:
1 Temperature
2 On/off.
Inclusion/switching off of refrigerating boxing
Slightly press the switch-2-a symbol — the control light-emitting diode on the switch blinks about 30 seconds, and then burns constantly.
Slightly press the switch-2-the party without symbol — the control light-emitting diode on the switch dies away.
Installation of temperature
Small snowflake — a low step of cooling.
Big snowflake — a high step of cooling.
When opening refrigerating boxing internal lighting of the refrigerating box joins.

Power of cooling depends on the chosen step of cooling and temperature of external air. |
At inclusion of a large number of consumers of the electric power or insufficient state of charge of the rechargeable battery the refrigerating boxing can automatically switch to lower step of power of cooling or be disconnected — the control light-emitting diode on the switch blinks. At restoration of sufficient tension the refrigerating boxing joins automatically again.
Care of refrigerating boxing
If the refrigerating boxing is not used a long time, it should be switched off, defrozen, washed out and for some time to leave a cover open. Washing of refrigerating boxing (Head Kuzov).

Fire danger!
Do not close a ventilating grate-4-in a luggage carrier.
You do not transport flammable materials in a luggage carrier.
Removal of refrigerating boxing

Instead of refrigerating boxing it is possible to establish a ski cover. (Installation of a ski cover — address the following materials).
Switch off refrigerating boxing.
Pull out the network plug-5-.
Turn out fixing bolts-6-.
Take out refrigerating boxing.

At the installed refrigerator boxing the door-3-should be opened aside. The door is kept behind by a magnet. |

Installation is made in the return sequence.
Phone
General information
There is a danger of accident!
First of all pay attention to the movement. Use phone 1 only if it allows a road situation.
Stop the car if you intend to carry on telephone conversation, using the receiver, but not loud-speaking communication.
Remember that your car already at a speed of 50 km/h passes 14 m in a second.
Use of radio telephones which antennas are in interior of the car can lead to violations of work of electronic systems, and, thereby, is negative affect operational safety of the car.
1 Respect the legislative rules corresponding to the country of residence.
Use of radio telephones in interior of the car is allowed only if they are connected to the separate external antenna allowed to operation by Mercedes-Benz.
(Use of phone — address the corresponding Operation manual).
Radio telephone in a runduchka under an armrest
Installation of phone

Open a runduchok (higher in this Section).
Enter phone into a reception nest-1-before the heard fixing of the plug-2-.
|
|
|
For fixing press phone in front-3-down.
Only in this situation phone is connected to loud-speaking installation.

Through a nest-4-the modem can be connected. |
Conducting telephone conversations via the control panel of radiotelephone communication

Press the button-5-. The reception nest-1-with phone leans back up.
Take out phone with the plug-2-forward. The plug with the cable conducting to the external antenna for conducting telephone conversation has to remain inserted into phone.
Removal of phone

Press the button-5-. The reception nest-1-with phone leans back up.
Press the lock of the plug-6-and take out phone forward.
Radio telephone in a ware box
|
|
|
Installation of phone
Open a ware box (higher in this Section).
Insert the switched-on phone into a reception nest-1-.
For fixing press phone in front-3-down.
Within about 30 seconds data from the telephone directory are read out in separate memory. After that phone is automatically switched off, and charging of batteries of phone is made.
For stationary phone only the only a few telephone directory of a radio telephone is at the disposal.
If you do not wish to read out the telephone directory, disconnect a radio telephone before installation it in a reception nest. In this case at your disposal and further there is telephone directory of stationary phone.
Various providers of network of a radio telephone and stationary phone:
All phone numbers in the telephone directory of a radio telephone have to be entered into memory together with the corresponding codes of the cities. Only in this case all phone numbers can be dialed via stationary phone.
Conducting telephone conversations if the radio telephone is in a ware box, is impossible.

For ensuring trouble-free operation of a communication system, it is impossible to turn on phone which is in the holder. |
Removal of phone
Press the button-4-.
The reception nest-1-with phone leans back up.
Remove phone.
After removal of phone on hand again there is telephone directory of stationary phone.

The plug-2-is rigidly connected with a reception nest-1-therefore its unblocking is not required. |

Take out phone-1-of a clamp up.
Installation of phone:
Enter phone into a clamp of the holder-2-and press down to the heard fixing.
SIM card (phone card)

Switch off phone and take out.
Installation:
Insert the SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module) into the reader-3-so that the chip in the direction was turned forward down.
Taking out:
Take out the SIM card.
Ski cover

Unfolding:
Lower a back armrest-1-.
Cast away a cover-2-down.
Spread out a ski cover and involve in salon.
|
|
|
Having pulled in a luggage carrier for the handle, open a door-3-. The door is kept by a magnet.
Loading

Place skis in a cover.
|
|
|
Attach a ski cover belts to an armrest in a back part of salon-4-.
Pull a fixing belt-5-.

The ski cover is calculated on 4 couples of skis.
Do not load foreign objects into a ski cover.
The cover with skis has to be always fixed. In case of accident the loose cover with skis can lead to traumatizing.

Close a door in a luggage carrier.

Installation of a ski cover

Insert a ski cover through a luggage carrier into an opening. Establish a frame of a ski cover at the left and record on the right.
Lamps of illumination of a luggage carrier
If the trunk lid remains open a long time, lamps of illumination of a luggage carrier are switched off approximately in 10 minutes.
System of fastening of baggage on a roof
There is a danger of accident!
Observe the installation guide of the manufacturer.
The fastenings of baggage which are incorrectly fixed system on a roof or freight can weaken.
The maximum load on a roof at use of systems of fastening of baggage on a roof makes 100 kg.
In order to avoid damages of the car use only the systems of fastening of baggage tested and allowed by us on a roof.

The traction coupling device (Towage of the trailer — address the Section Driving and auxiliary systems)

Removal of a cap

Take out a cap-1-from a nest of fastening of a spherical head down.
The spherical head is together with a spare wheel in an additional compartment under a trunk floor.

Installation of a spherical head
There is a danger of accident!
You carry out installation of a spherical head with special care as safety of hook-on structure in general depends on it.

The key-2-has to be inserted.
The red zone has to coincide with white marking (assembly situation), otherwise unlock the lock in a makhovichka a key-2-in the direction of an arrow.
Pull for a makhovichok and turn it in a red zone before fixing.
|
|
|
Insert a spherical head vertically into a fastening nest. At the same time consider on a bumper marking for an insert-3-.
The spherical head is fixed automatically.

Blocking of a spherical head
For this purpose turn a key in the lock in the direction of an arrow.
Take out a key and spread a protective cap.
Provision of the movement

There is a danger of accident!
At violations of work or damage it is necessary to charge Mercedes-Benz stations check of all traction coupling device.
At non-use of the traction coupling device, we recommend to dismantle a spherical head.
Folding plug socket

|
If necessary cast away the plug socket down.
If the plug socket is not required any more, cast away it up.
Removal of a spherical head
Remove a protective cap, unlock the lock in a makhovichka a key.
Undertake a spherical head, pull for a makhovichok and turn red marking in a green zone before fixing a makhovichka.
Take out a spherical head down.
Storage of a spherical head
The spherical head is together with a spare wheel in an additional compartment under a trunk floor.
There is a danger of accident!
You do not transport in salon a spherical head in a loose state.
Otherwise at strong braking, sharp change of the direction of the movement or accident passengers can be injured by the moving spherical head.
Cap nozzle
Insert a cap into a nest of fastening of a spherical head before fixing.

Pay attention to reliability of landing of a cap. |
Recommendations about leaving
|
|
|
At pollution it is necessary to make cleaning of a spherical head and nest of fastening of a spherical head at any time easy installation and removal were provided.
|
|
It is impossible to make cleaning of a spherical head with the device for a wash of the car with a stream of high pressure, do not apply solvents. |
|
|
After cleaning apply a butter layer or jellied lubricant on the following places: |
1 fixing balls,
2 guide,
3 reception nest,
4 holiday lever,
5 spherical surface, and also on an arm of a spherical head on the car.
Oil the lock not containing acids and pitches.
Then carry out an inspection of working capacity on the car.
These works can be also carried out at the Mercedes-Benz station.
Trailers with the 7-contact plug

|
|
Shtekerny connection between the car with the 13-contact plug socket and the trailer having the 7-contact plug can be provided by means of a transitional cable.
The transitional cable can be got at any Mercedes-Benz station.
1 Ledge
2 Flute
Installation:
Raise a cover. Insert the plug a ledge into a flute and turn to the right against the stop. Let's a cover be recorded.
Freely fix a transitional cable on the trailer by belts for fastening of a cable.
Power supply from network
In your car there is a possibility of connection to power supply from network of the car. If the trailer requires power supply from network of the car, then insertion of a necessary safety lock has to be made at the Mercedes-Benz station.
